ΕΚΟΜΕ continues collaboration with Takorama IFF 2022

It is with great pleasure that EKOME continues its collaboration with  Takorama International Film Festival 2022, the online short film animation festival dedicated to humanism and ecology for students, teachers and parents, under the auspices of UNESCO.

In this year’s edition, EKOME, official partner of Takorama, shall further support the dissemination of the festival in Greece, shall participate in the selection of the films, and contribute by adapting in Greek language the worksheets for the 15 animated films, all freely accessible and ad-free for use in an educational context. The films, accessible after registration, are classified into five age categories (3 – 18 years old) and are accompanied by worksheets with brief information on the story and questions about their content and the technical dimensions. They also, offer targeted educational activities and additional material with references to works of literature, visual arts, and films, especially for the Greek audience.

Between April 1st and June 24th, 2022, children, together with their parents and/or teachers, will have the opportunity to discover a poetic and original visual universe, that promotes values such as solidarity, respect or sustainable development and to vote for their favorite film. Diversity, disability, acceptance, friendship, loneliness, love for people and animals, and environmental responsibility are some of the themes of the imaginative animations. Login & watch the films here.

Greece is among the top countries worldwide with the highest participation in the festival with 2,049 participating last year! εκομε takorama webinar

A special webinar by EKOME, with 290 registrants, for Greek teachers and parents on April 13th, 2022, offered a preview of the films as well as a brief presentation of the educational material of Takorama 2022. You may watch the webinar (in Greek) here.

EKOME, exclusive partner of Takorama in Greece, disseminates this activity to the educational community and promotes the festival via all its media platforms. The festival is organized by the French NGO “Films Pour Enfants“, member of the EU Sub Chapter Mediterranean Group of UNESCO Media & Information Literacy Alliance, coordinated by EKOME. Film Pour Enfants is also among the 1st prize winners of 2021 Global Media & Information Literacy Awards.

Have fun, be inspired, explore animation!
