INVESTMENT INCENTIVES: CASH REBATE, TAX RELIEF, FILM OFFICES NETWORK

EKOME manages the investment incentives

Get to know the major sectors:
In August 2017, the Greek Parliament adopted the Law 4487/2017 introducing a cash rebate programme covering eligible costs for domestic and international audiovisual productions in Greece. In September 2018 (Law 4563/2018) the cash rebate was raised to 35% and today amounts to 40% (Law 4704/2020) on eligible expenses incurred in Greece with a more flexible floor for TV series and digital games and can serve as collateral for producers to obtain funds through the Greek banking system.

With the implementation of Law 4172/2013-71E and Joined Ministerial Decision 1007/ 09-01-2019, EKOME manages the tax relief program (tax exemption) amounting to 30% for investments in domestic production through the same procedure that applies for cash rebate. The project for the implementation of the National Film Offices Network (Office for the Facilitation of Audiovisual Producers) inaugurates the operation of Film Offices in 13 Regions and 2 major Municipalities of the country.
