Festivals

EKOME organizes in cooperation with various festivals throughout Greece educational programmes. The NRAA ensures the acquisition of archives produced in the framework of these programmes. Archives from the International Animation Festival “Animasyros” and the Olympia International Film Festival for Children and Youth have already been acquired.

Institutions

EKOME has signed memoranda of cooperation and other types of agreements with the following organisations:

Society of Studies of Modern Greek Culture & Education (Moraitis School) (2019). Digitisation of sound recordings of various scientific events.

Hellenic Film Academy (2021). Digitisation of 25 important greek movies of 20th century

Municipal Company for Information, Entertainment and Communication of Thessaloniki (2021). Digitisation of the archive of TV100.

School of Film of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (2021). Organising scientific or research activities and internships and professional training activities for students of the Department.

Laboratory for the Study of Greek Film and Television (EMEKT) of the School of Fine Arts of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (2021). Tracking of the films and digitisation of the Greek filmmaker Maria Plyta.

Greek Research and Technology Network (GRNET) (2022). Upgrading digital infrastructure.

Athens State Orchestra (2022). Recording, preserving, and co-exploiting the Orchestra’s musical content.

Athens Festival SA (2022). Recording, preserving, and co-exploiting the Athens Festival SA’ s content.

University of the Aegean (2023). Digitisation of Stasinos’ archives, programmes aiming on virtual reality, artificial intelligence.

Other activities

Greek Film Centre (2021). Cooperation in order to rescue endangered audiovisual material.

In the field of audiovisual archives, which is a demanding field and is characterised by many particularities, collaborations exceed a general public relations policy. It is a prerequisite for the success of both EKOME and the institutions of the field in general.
