“Dear friends, welcome to the National Centre of Audiovisual Media and Communication- EKOME, a state agency working to promote all kinds of initiatives in strengthening and promoting the Greek audiovisual sector. Our strategic mission focuses on: developing the local audiovisual production by attracting direct foreign investment in the sector and supporting entrepreneurship and employment (INVEST); establishing a national archive policy of audiovisual material (DIGITISE); promoting scientific study and applied research in the media, training media industry professionals and educating citizens in the language of visual communication (EDUCATE). To this end, we have developed a wide range of activities and partnerships that you can explore by visiting our website and joining us in our effort to inaugurate a new era in the Greek audiovisual sector.”

Paris Skiadopoulos was born in 1983. He is a graduate of the Experimental School of the University of Athens and holds a degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineer. For the past 16 years, he has worked in the movie industry and in advertising. His specialty has always been the domain of production. It all started back in 2004 when he worked as a production assistant in the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in Athens. Since then he has worked, as a side job, in various positions on many productions and for the last 8 years he exclusively works in Film production and advertising. Over the years, he had the pleasure to collaborate with renowned artists, such as Costa Gavras, and Park Chan-Wook as well as with established brands in the domain of advertising. He has attended production seminars for cinema in Greece and abroad.

Haris Pappis studied history with a master’s degree in cultural policy, management and communication and graduated from the Greek national school of public administration. He served for more than 10 years at the international relations department of the Greek Ministry of Culture and Sports, including three years as a cultural attaché at the Greek Permanent Delegation at UNESCO. During that period he participated in various intergovernmental committee meetings on cultural conventions and was involved in the adoption and implementation of the convention on the protection and promotion of the diversity of cultural expressions, a basic component of the European Union policy regarding audiovisuals. Between 2014 and 2020 he headed the sections on book policy, audience development and digital content. Currently he is head of section for European programs, international synergies and entrepreneurship promotion.
