The National Centre of Audiovisual Media and Communication – EKOME and the Hellenic Film Commission of the Greek Film Centre will conjointly participate in FOCUS 2023 Meet the makers. The annual international meeting of companies and professionals in the field of audiovisual production will take place from 5 to 7 December 2023, at the Business Design Centre, 52 Upper Street, London.
Representatives of EKOME and GFC will be present at the Greek stand to present to more than 6,000 visitors and 1,500 companies from more than 100 countries around the globe, the investment incentives, and the competitive advantages of Greece as the ideal destination for audiovisual productions. Sector professionals will have the opportunity to receive advice and guidance and be informed on the investment incentives (40% cash rebate, 30% tax relief) managed by EKOME.
The Greek delegation will organize this year communication activities and networking opportunities that will include b2b, online and face-to-face meetings, with the aim of attracting foreign productions to Greece, but also supporting domestic audiovisual production as an important exportable cultural product, as with the continuous development of the national network of Film Offices, our country is redefining its position on the global audiovisual map.

During FOCUS 2023, a presentation will take place on December 5, by the title: “GREECE: A filming hub with endless opportunities” where the Director of the Cash Rebate Department of EKOME, Eleni Kostala, and the Acting Director of Hellenic Film Commission of the Greek Film Centre, Stavroula Geronimaki will present to professionals from all over the world the strategic advantages of Greece for shooting and producing audiovisual productions, emphasizing the large number of foreign and Greek productions successfully implemented in the last year in Greece, the unique locations, the highly experienced and skilled professionals and the financial incentives that guarantee a flexible and favorable framework for professionals in the sector.
