The impressive results of the Greek incentives program, including the Greek cash rebate and tax relief programs, and the implementation of the national network of film offices in 13 regions and selected municipalities across Greece, were the key topics in conversations, presentations, b2b meetings and plans for future collaboration. EKOME also attended the successful screening of the projects selected by the Thessaloniki Film Festival in cooperation with the Greek Film Centre, as part of the “Thessaloniki Goes to Cannes” event, where professionals from the film industry, sales agents, festival representatives, producers and distributors where able to watch 5 selected films by promising Greek film-makers. A very successful screening, that was followed by an even more successful and dynamic party hosted by the Greek Film Centre and the Thessaloniki Film Festival at the Greek stand.

“Greece is gaining momentum and a well-deserved spot in the global audiovisual productions map. At EKOME we work relentlessly to build solid foundations for the Greek filming industry, by supporting professionals and by highlighting the significant competitive advantages of the Greek filming incentives. We are very proud to represent Greece in international meetings and markets but when we witness the positive results of the hard-collaborative work performed at EKOME, validated through partnerships and collaborations with major stakeholders, then we grow even more confident for what is happening next” commented Panos Kouanis, for the outcome of the visit.
