Hollywood in Greece: forum about the future of the Greek A/V sector

EKOME proudly joined the Hellenic American Chamber of Commerce and the International Chamber of Commerce Greece in the online event “Hollywood in Greece: Greece is becoming the Hollywood of Europe”, showcasing Greece as one of the most attractive and competitive destinations for filming. The event was very successful with an audience of over 400 viewers, whereas the discussions were extremely informative and productive for both speakers and audience.

During the event, which took place on Saturday, October 2nd, at 10:30 am (NY time) and 5.30 pm (Athens time), President and CEO of EKOME Panos Kouanis highlighted the progress of the investment incentives’ program in supporting foreign and domestic audiovisual productions in Greece (cash rebate, tax relief, film offices network), while Eirini Andriopoulou, Head of Research, Studies & Educational Programs Dept. presented EKOME’s educational program and initiatives.

The event hosted distinguished guests and professionals who discussed the future of the Greek film industry and was held under the auspices of the Hellenic Republic Ministry of Foreign Affairs General Secretariat for Greeks Abroad and Public Diplomacy, the City of Athens, and the Consulate General of Greece to New York.
